GINCHY offers styling and sourcing services for yourself, your home, your workplace. All with secondhand, responsibly sourced items. Located in the New York City area, our goods are brought in from all over the United States, purchased privately from individuals just like you and me. Putting money back in the pockets of regular folks, and away from the ever-more-costly, record-breaking-profit organizations filling landfills around the globe. We teach you how to shop sustainably, why it matters, and where to go, all in the interest of making your money go further (& have a positive impact on the planet).
OUR WHY
The fast fashion industry produces 92 million to 134 million tons of textile waste annually (which is the equivalent of a dump truck of clothes in a landfill every second). GINCHY aims to change the way we shop: with a focus on self expression & personal style to last for years to come. In a world of rampant consumerism and microtrends to support it, we’ve gotten lost in the mix of polyblend textiles and flammable pajamas. We deserve more, but not in the way you’d think. We deserve better….and the best part of better? It already exists.
OUR HOW
GINCHY’s mission is to revitalize styling through sustainability practices: secondhand shopping, the refurbishment of quality, salvageable goods, and repurposing forgotten items. By educating everyday consumers how to care for their belongings to ensure they stand the test of time, they can get back to living their lives for themselves. Long gone are the days of “keeping up” with anyone other than you.
